When Every Day’s a Holiday …

What could you possibly change?

Your view?  Your hair?  Your blog?

Your view – Check.  As per the featured image above, we find ourselves on the western side of Lake Macquarie and admiring the view of an inland body of water as opposed to Australia’s eastern coastline.

It has been refreshing house sitting for the last week.  The few chores we attend to are not overly taxing and I’ve even relished watering Gary’s garden.  Leonie’s cat ‘Princess’ practically looks after herself although I’m at a loss to understand what she does all day during her disappearing acts.

Dean and I have been exploring the local surrounds and can even drive to and from Redhead beach without the use of the GPS.

Your hair – Check.  Currently Short Hairsix inches shorter than it was just a few days ago, my hair is now more than 12 inches shorter than it was three months ago.  Yes, I have had that much removed from the length of my hair.

The last time my hair was this short was 2010 and I’ve been thinking about having it cut (off) for quite some time.  The weather has been so hot and having long hair is simply no longer practical.

I feel 300 degrees cooler 🙂 and should have gone back to a bob a long time before now.

Your blog – Check.

My previous theme – Chateau

When I began writing about our trip, I never expected to be taking so many photos and using them as featured images, showcasing photos of the places we find ourselves.

I didn’t know what I wanted my blog to look like, I just wanted it to be pretty.  I didn’t know where blogging would take me, I thought I would only blog about our trip.

Six months later and I’m blogging about lots of topics and have a better idea of how I want my blog to look.   I want it to be clean and crisp with images that pop.

So today, as part of an online blogging course I’m participating in, I’ve reviewed many of the available themes and found the one that works perfectly for me.

It’s clean and crisp and makes the images and photos really pop.  The menu is always visible on the left-hand side and a tab situated behind the menu contains the other site features.

I’ve opted to use the default colours and fonts.  I think they are simplistic and sophisticated all at once making my blog look polished and professional even though it’s a personal blog.

I like this new look and feel and hope that you do too.

Take a look around and see if this new theme works as well for you as it does for me.

I’d love to know what you think.

    1. Thanx Sue,

Dean and I haven’t been out for dinner for a little while, but I think we may have to tonight perhaps.

Watch out for the next parmie review.

      Love Clare

  1. Lovely part of the world Clare, enjoy. I won’t comment on the hair, learnt not to do that years ago except to say “that’s nice”. Cheers.
