Dean Surfing At Dolphin Point

Dean Surfing at Dolphin Point

I don’t often catch a good photo of Dean surfing, but I think this one has to be a winner.  I’m sure you can almost hear him saying “Wooooohooooo!!!!!” as he glides down the face of the wave.  It’s just a shame there is another wave crashing in the foreground, obscuring the view of the entire wave that Dean is riding.

After finding the conditions unfavourable a Mollymook, I suggested a quick drive south of Ulladulla might reveal some rideable waves, and Dolphin Point certainly turned on the charm.

We spent two days at Dolphin Point back in February and Dean really enjoyed the surf at the time.  Back then though the conditions were no were near a good as they were on Thursday last week.

Dean was in his element.

  1. Yahoooo is right! I love seeing Hitoshi happy doing his thing. Do you surf as well? I’ve only had a few experiences and I wouldn’t say I’m itching to get out on a board anytime soon. 😀 Snowboarding was my thing but that and running are on a long break. It hurts too much to fall now and I have to get my newly discovered arthritic knee checked out. Ha!

    1. Hi Hilary,

Surfing is Dean’s thing, not my thing, I’ve too many aches and pains to deliberately add to my list. I’ve never been able to surf, never really tried, but I’m happy to walk the beach hunting shells and take the occasional photo in hopes of getting a really good one of Dean have a great time.
